Promoting youth cricket

The ECB has a vision to become and remain the respected cricket nation in the world. So how can this be achieved? I believe that providing a sustainable stream of enthusiastic and well nurtured young people of the key to achieving this national goal is. Buses provide the ECB with a long term athlete development (LTAD) model development identified different stages of a player. It highlights the key elements of the player's game at different times in her career, starting should be introduced with the basics in the foundation stage. I want to use this model, its or their own methods of coaching form encourage any coach.

Generating youth interest

The main difference between countries such as India and England is cricket is the most important sport in India with a large following. I dare say that this is not the case in England where football dominates the headlines, and usually the attention of young people. How do we attract interest of youth?

Cricket is a boring game, no opinion about it often is a concept, but I've heard it time and time again. Sport is totally different from football that is fast paced. Cricket is patience, concentration and competitiveness, but we should not forget the fun aspect. The introduction of the T20 cricket seems have generated interest and I think that can be good for the game. It is a fast paced form of the game which can be the reason for the large following.

The important thing here is to promote the cricket as a fun game and this will attract the attention of young people. Make training session's fun, play many games with young cricketer and make it not too serious. If players enjoy the sessions you are more likely their participation in the game further.

Coaching cricket in schools

I have increased the number of coaching is noticed in schools over the last few years. This is partly due to the introduction of coaching initiatives like opportunity due to shine. From my experience in coaching within schools, I've noticed some young people receive an interest in the game, but never have the chance to join a club. I would recommend that clubs offered their services to schools and keep some cricket taster sessions. Providing an opportunity to promote the game and also help recruit new players to the Club. To the schools coach, you need a valid CRB check and will be a good idea to do the ECB coaching schools module.

Provide the best resources

A well-run Cricket Club with good equipment is rather young players keep and get the best of you. In an ideal situation, a Cricket Club will have a team of trainers, their services to different age groups. A support structure should be in the place like welfare officers, first responders, connection and community engagement of media officers. There are also appropriate netting devices and tools available.
